Did Nice crash out because Smile died? Interesting if true!

That is my guess at this point. It looks like Nice has an injector of Fear so Smile is probably going to get injected and go haywire leading to Nice and Dragon Boy putting him down. This will push Nice over the edge and likely lead to him killing himself because he just killed his childhood idol.
Smile dying will also likely lead to X deciding to take the tournament seriously instead of just dropping out like he stated to Smile in this episode.

It hasn't been stated, but he's probably dead. The Smile incident probably refers to Smile going insane after being injected with Fear and probably killing a bunch of innocents. There was already implications that Smile was disgraced because I believe during Lin Ling's arc you can see a smashed Smile billboard.

I was thinking, in a world where belief shapes reality, probably changing people's beliefs and perception of reality might be one of the strongest things, with it you could use as a get away to acquire more powers. Hypnotism kind of fit into this, and frequently is shown as people setting the new beliefs with a snap of fingers - just like X reshapes reality. In addition to it, the way he cares about coin tricks seems to indicate some relation to magicians tricks and slights of hand, that also are to some degree related to hypnotism.

We see Lingling and the new E-soul starting developing their powers by kind of pretending to be another heroes that already had powers and fooling the population, the original Nice used agressive marketing and the Fear power, Lucky Cyan got the belief she was extremely lucky due to how she survived the airplaine crash, little Jonhie started to get his power because he appeared to have controlled big Jonhie and was son of a previous X that made people think he could control animals in general.
The question isn't so much as "what are X's current powers", but "how X developed his current powers".

I wonder if X got all his powers from a bunch of really mundane acts like giving the coin to Cyan or helping old people across the street. If they discover a way to diminish Fear, so does Nice's usefulness and the reason he's giving him off to Miss J in the first place. If Nice finds a way to prevent this then Shang doesn't need to pass him off to someone else. Nice's first instinct to this solution is murdering everyone there. No sane person would think this.
