Well, well, the story of Zero no Tsukaima is coming to an end. The mystery of the 'Holy Land' is slowly being revealed. Likewise, what really happened six thousand years ago? To be honest, I would have never thought that I could have come this far, so there were a lot of emotions welling in my chest. Even though I plan to finish the story in another two volumes, I'm still worried if I could finish writing them. However, I should not be saying such negative things, and I should be giving it my all instead!

My boy Saito, has also grown up bit by bit over the years. Well, teenagers tend to grow up after they have found their direction in life anyway. This has also been said by Louise somewhere in the story, though it was only for a brief moment. A brief but brilliant moment. Although the willful part of her and the core of her personality will never change, there is bound to be some other part of her that will undergo a metamorphosis of her own. The girls are not the only ones who have undergone development, you know. As a buddy of almost every boy and young men out there, I also want to cheer for the guys in the story. Even if I won't be doing anything specific at all.

In any case, a young man with passionate dreams of upholding justice will always be a radiant symbol to others.

I sincerely hope that everyone reading this book will also find 'something that they want to do'. Although it might be hard to find it in this day and age, however, no matter the era, it will always exist. The 'something you want to do'.

There are still some things I have to mention before the end. Even though we're almost near the finish line, I still want to thank Mr. Eiji for your beautiful illustrations for this volume! You've not only increased the quality of the illustrations, but also your drawing speed every year. That is really impressive, Mr. Eiji is really a special person. I'll have to reflect on that.

There's also Mr. S, my editor. Mr. S was the one who made this volume possible. It has been seven years since we've first known each other, and I am very thankful for you being here all this time! It's not the same thing. That's like saying Evangelion is the same as the mountains of derivative copies that followed its example.
ZnT was one of the first of its kind. And it was certainly the most significant and influential of its kind. People forget about it because it's literally 20 years old at this point, but the reason it seems more "competent" than the series that it inspired is that it wasn't trying to copy an existing story.
It materialized and utilized tropes, just like any piece of pop fiction, but you can see where it was the progenitor of many modern isekai tropes and devices.
And Louise is a perfect goddess.

Only if you're in love with the series. The 22 volumes have coincidentally more or less the same word length as the Harry Potter series, which is longer than the Bible.

They are not poorly written by any means but bear in mind that the anime is itself very good despite how divisive it is to critics. Like the eclipse thing was super creative and it's anime original, plus the humor this series has translates better to TV.
The novels have better lore, character motives and plot consistency but besides splicing and reordering they dont add that much over the first 3 seasons.
But for known reasons the last season was rushed and znt would have needed 5 or 6 seasons to match its previous pace. So yes the later half of the novels is pretty different.


IMPORTANT SPOILER: The LN epilogue is terrible compared to the anime, it may have made artistic sense but it's not satisfying at all

Lets take the thread in a different direction. If you were going to be isekai'd into another world how bad would her's be on a scale compared to others? I'm thinking bad not not the worst, it's got super powered assholes who will just wipe out your town but there's also a lot of good strong people and they at least have functioning systems in place to regulate magic and such. Well yes and no this series has the curse of being one of the so called 'fake harems' meaning the winner is fucking obvious from the start, meaning the maid gets shifted into a hot comedic relief as the series goes on.
But this a rare case where the end result was better than the waifus themselves. Besides despite its genre it has good character rotation and every girl gets her time to shine, so much so that the common complaint is instead that Siesta is stuck fucking around the main couple too long.

He worked with the anime to give him the ending he wanted before he died and they made the 4th season even though the third sold poorly so they obviously made it for his sake where he straight up marries Louise.

Of course the Queen and the maid will certainly be his lifelong lovers, Louise even recognizes that especially for the Queen she'll have to reluctantly allow it. She can't possibly tell her childhood friend and monarch that she can't fuck him. It becomes an obvious "don't ask, don't tell" situation. Basically the same with the maid. It's pretty well established that lords in this world have several mistresses and when a young girl is given to a man as a maid it's expected that she'll be his lover. This is established in like, episode 3 of the anime too and since Siesta was given to Saito for life after his work for the kingdom there's 0% chance that he won't father several children with her over the years.

The only one left out is the elf. She literally has no reason to be hanging around him all the time, same with Tabitha if you think she was ever in his harem. Both are from other kingdoms and have no reason to hang around Saito after graduation. They're fucked and not in a good way.
