It's already doomed due to being at the bottom of the toc for almost its entire run so far. The axe was delayed by other series ending or being even worse, and possibly to give Kawaguchi some time to practice so that he doesn't fumble his 3rd and final attempt next time. The story clearly improved after the poorly thought out training arc so he might be able to do well if he learns his lesson.

I just thought this chapter was OK. I really hope Kawaguchi can do more to make this manga stand out because it feels really generic right now. At least it's not getting U19

Yep, almost everything there comes from outside. At the newsstands they even sell Japanese, Chinese and Korean newspapers to local residents. In some bookstores you'll find shonen and seinen magazines from various publishers, but what you'll see most will be editions from Shonen Jump and CoroCoro Comics. There are artbooks too, but since everything is imported, it ends up being a bit more expensive (at least for us lol). There are also supermarkets that only sell Japanese products and foods. You can see some cool pictures of the district on Pinterest.
