The Worm are now a skeleton crew for some reason, despite Shen still not getting what he wanted. Shen and Yan had Luohan operate a mercenary group that went around killing other Worms for PR purposes. Neko Niko isn't on their team anymore so they can't just pull some of his students out for assistance, if he even has anymore left. Yan and Fu Zhan are having dinner discussing what men they could even use for the Fortnite Fight and apparently it's so bad they need Outside help

But they also have guys in a bunch of different fields so it doesn't really feel like a skeleton crew. They have nukes. They have enough guys around town that Yan can know exactly what's going at any given time, like Neko Niko's betrayal and Luohans fight at the airport. Also there are other clones of Shen that are still loyal to him. They have nukes.

Akoya almost died and the last time we saw or heard of him was when he was dragging Setsuna's jobber body to the hospital while screeching to himself that he had to "make it right" and it's been years since then. Before that he said he was going to execute justice over Koga for letting Xia ji live.
Jean's backstory was soft retconned so that Nicolas could be revealed to still be alive for no one's benefit except Sandro's. The Inside has an Underground that has an Underground that has an Underground that has an Underground and probably one more too. True Champions was created so the Good Guys could safe Gu Ritual a playmate for Shen but instead of Agito fighting Shen we're getting a Fortnite Rumble
Do these sound like the writings of an Author who plans to end his story eventually? No, they sound like spare plots for Sandro to pick up whenever he needs to pad out the manga's longevity. He made a success out of Kengan Asura and even got a crossover with Baki, twice. This success allowed him to make 2 more fight manga's that people apparently love. He gets to reference all of his works into one cohesive setting and despite the shite writing he's probably having fun and is definitely making good money off of it

This manga causes me physical pain to read. I think it's pretty apparent Sandro has no idea what he's doing when he isn't following a tournament structure for the story. Even complete amateur writers can make a decent tournament arc off the back of fun characters and decent fights which is exactly what all of Asura was. Asura was a bit of introduction preamble and then just a tournament for the rest of its run. Omega has had smaller tournaments sprinkled in by this series is absolutely lost in the sauce without a larger tournament framework to base the story on.

At this point, what even is the issue with giving the Worm a Kengan membership? The issue here is that Saw isn't an important character to the narrative so we don't get to see his growth nearly as much and this is Sandro and he already has that issue of properly displaying character growth. He's tied to Gaolang, half his character is about being Gaolang's rival, he's a thirdie who only sort of matters because of this connection. Now think of Karo who's majority appearances have been being next to Saw, he doesn't fight and only recently got a chapter where he got to graciously share screen time with Kuroki
The more connected you are to a secondary the less you will matter. Like how Rihito's a secondary so the gay ballerina guy he's rivals too doesn't matter

So Rihito just suddenly activates ultra instinct mid fight and Saw goes from having the upper hand to not being able to land anything and having his shit pushed in onesidedly. We could have built up to MUH GEARS in a more natural way by actually showing Rihito struggling during his prior fights in the tournament, but because we skipped over everything Sandro was less interested in, the Shuhari thing comes out of nowhere mere pages before it completes.

The Berserker Bowl was fine overall, yeah. It's only brought down by future context(Ryuki vs Koga being enjoyable, but Ryuki utterly dying as a character after, Kiryu's relationship with him being nonsensical, ect).
My main issues were just the offscreening of stuff, like Himuro supposedly having amazing fights with Adam and Haruo we aren't allowed to see, Rihito's arc being compressed because Sandro didn't want to follow multiple plotlines through the tournament, ect. The fights themselves we got to see were generally fine.
