I think it's pretty apparent Sandro has no idea what he's doing when he isn't following a tournament structure for the story. Even complete amateur writers can make a decent tournament arc off the back of fun characters and decent fights which is exactly what all of Asura was. Asura was a bit of introduction preamble and then just a tournament for the rest of its run. Omega has had smaller tournaments sprinkled in by this series is absolutely lost in the sauce without a larger tournament framework to base the story on.
