>>281983716 (OP) >HxH is actually still happening
Dammit! I thought that broken back geezer was gone! Now how am I supposed to bait HxH fans with "HxH is over" now!?!

2018 was proof he could still do more than 10 a year but I think the biggest problem is he didn't have things mapped out past chapter 390 or 400 and he said somewhere that he "gave up" for a while during the 4 year hiatus..Seems like as of now he has things mapped out to like chapter 450 or 470 or something so while I'm not getting my hopes up for more than 10 at a time I do still consider the possibility of more than 10 in a year

Probably when Togashi dies . But if Berserk can continue, then I think Naoko will pass it to Togashiโs successors and biggest fans, Gege and Ishida.
I think at their best they could write a 8/10 DC arc.

Man, this is kind of a rollercoaster. He came back on the 21st and everyone got excited, but then he didn't post again for a week so everyone thought, at best, he'd update once a week. But now he's updated 5 times in the past week. He literally posted 417 yesterday.
If this were a normal manga I'd start thinking we might get a new chapter this month, but since it's Togashi I still think it's next month at the earliest.
>>281984830 >10 chapters a year for 5-10 years will finish the SW
lol...

During that first week maybe he was doing something for volume 39. Coincidentally he came back with that return tweet on the exact day 1 year later as volume 38 was announced

Not that big of a deal to me. Iโd taken HunterxHunter in novel form a decade ago. It wonโt be the same but itโs good enough, especially with good prose.

And people still think he is smart but all i see is a man that lost it and drove himself insane.
Writting a book to explain a manga chapter of a weekly manga isn't something a normal person will do. >>281984324
It isn't back, you could say is the dellusion of some because there is no way you will make a book just to explain a manga chapter.
>>281985052
Well the manga was over years ago but he continued pushing it because he doesn't have anything at all.
The manga ended, gon never recovered and never met his dad, is clear when you see that gon was removed from main character years ago without replacement which is weird, any chapter is just delusions of a man that went insane after losting it.
>>281985052 >2018 was proof he could still do more than 10 a year
The fact that he had to go on his longest hiatus ever (almost 4 years) after that proves that he probably shouldn't try to do more than 10 a year.
Either way, since he has written up to 460, IIRC, I think that if Togashi dies, his assistants can at least finish this arc for him. While it won't be as good as if he did it himself, we'll at least have closure.

Releasing 10-15 chapters in a short amount of time is an impressive feat for an old series. I think it is way better than monthly release.
>>281990291 >proves that he probably
The production circumstances seem better now, it's anyone's guess what went wrong after the 371-390 chapters came out although it seems like things were not thoroughly planned out very far past chapter 390
this nigga should just make someone do the art for him and he can still have an artist's ego by doing the storyboard and the volume covers or something

Been going through back pain myself, I'm sorry I ever made fun of Togashi, I could barely sleep last night and I imagine his is 10x worse...
>>281992874
True. But you probably donโt become a slave to the Japanese manga industry if you donโt have major passion, and with passion comes ego.
>>281983716 (OP)
Anybody got the timeframe from when he completed background designation docs to chapter release from last batch? We might be able to pull up a clear picture of when we're most likely gonna get new chapters.
>>281983716 (OP)
why doesn't togashi just write words or speak words and have somebody else write it for him at this point? or even get his wife to draw instead... he clearly still has a story to tell.
