Well no matter what there are only two options for the first 7 episodes, 8 really, The Indian one and Waku. The first episode of any anime I ever subtitled was ep8 so it's necessarily my worst work. I've learned a lot since then but honestly don't think I can capture the songs very well. Japanese songs are different from how they speak it, that's why it isn't good immersive material for learning Japanese. They leave out a lot of the grammatical points necessary to understand Japanese sentences. Not to mention I'm not a very lyrical person to begin with.

Anyways most of the language used in the show is very simple, it's made for children after all, and often they even have explanations in show for more difficult phrases. I know like 2000 of the most common Japanese words from my own studies, which isn't much to be honest, but I could honestly probably translate 95% of the show with just that and the dictionary I have installed on my computer. It'd just take me twice as long. So instead I just rewrite the slop that comes out of the computer. This was letting me get it out earlier than the other group but lately they've sped up since they got a new? translator. Oh well, I wasn't in it for the race. Mostly I was just doing it for myself and sharing it with the /a/nons here that want it.
Speaking of, apologies to y'all. I was busy this week and didn't check to see if it got ferried over to Nyaa. At this point might as well wait till I finish ep 22 rather than bother either the kind/a/nons that were doing it here or trying to get someone else to do it.

As far as quality of my releases go I'm nearing the limit of what I can do by myself at this stage. I'm a big proponent of "you can just do things" however there are only so many hours in the week and I have other obligations. Maybe it doesn't have to be a one man band though? I'm not sure how I'd integrate other people into my workflow but I know I'd really like at least someone to QC it.

I might look into creating some blogsite or an IIRC chat as well for people to bug me at.

I slept on it and decided to make a discord server. I'm more willing to post that here than just my straight up user name. It's currently only active for 7 days. I might open it up if there is actual interest but I figure only a handful of people are interested. Maybe two handfuls at most.

I'll take it under advisement to not post it again. There was a thread on /tg/ I enjoyed that was killed 8 years ago by a server. Though I guess I made some of my best friends from that so it all evened out. However my reasoning for doing it at all was that I am of the opinion that some of the discussion regarding the subs was steering beyond the scope of this thread and was shitting it up. So while I would really like to talk to PellAnon about his workflow, TypsetterAnon about my mistakes, and UploaderAnon about how to get in contact with him better that stuff would be better suited to another location since I don't think it's broadly on topic even if the thread sometimes seems like it could use any engagement at all. This is the Princesssion Orchestra thread and I'd prefer it stay that way.

Like I said I am sympathetic to discord servers destroying threads and that was one of the things I mulled over the most since last night. However I just don't think I'm popular enough to warrant the worry. After all half the posts in the current thread are from the Raw watch through and the Waku fans are likely currently avoiding the thread since they don't want spoilers.

Anyways just post more. All problems can be solved with this one little trick.

About the thread activity; I think we've plateaued, which is fine as long as we don't shed too much activity from here. I do notice we get wayyyy too close to dying at least a couple times a day. My challenge to alicepi/a/nons is to get more creative with your bump messages.

It'd probably be best to send Nagase using the martial arts gem. It shouldn't be Kagari herself since she's the strategist, unless she trusts Naviyu to pass on her instructions it's better to send the brawn(Nagase) to fight BS' brawn(Drun). It leaves Kagari to still be controlling the situation and strategizing plus a bit of hope Minamo can channel some high power musessence to let out a stronger attack
