I just tested this on a few books and the import charge was about 15% to 18%, not sure how you got 10%. Amazon's link explaining the import charge even says they only perform an estimated calculation and it is only held as a deposit, so if the actual customs fee is higher then the carrier can still send a bill for the difference and it is the buyer's responsibility. Their system is also busted so if you try to order 10 of the same item it will only apply the tariff estimation for the price of a single piece instead of the actual total. Anyway I like ordering from bookstores because of the access to doujinshi and the bonuses they include with manga so I don't know if I can settle for less after years of unrestricted buyfagging.

I have a bunch of orders through aocs & tora that are sold out through to the new year. Aocs doesn't necessarily say you can't ship domestically. Should I just pay the package storage and try try ship them domestically. Thats really not enough though, the reason why most postal systems stopped is because they are being asked to do the job that the U.S. CBP should be doing, which is actually checking the origin, calculating those taxes and charging accordingly, instead and for whatever reason, the US wants for each courier/postal system to charge the customer and submit that to the CBP when the packages arrive. And most are not ready to do that on a per person level.

Its probably just a shitty play to show that the courier/sender is actually paying for the tariffs but it should be obvious those tariffs will me paid by the final customer.

The black cancer spots on her leg which appeared while I wasn't looking actually did turn out to be internal mold beneath the paint; trying to remove them will just damage the paint too. Even if I go out of my way to get some tools, paint, and matte coating to hide them it'll still look really off. Considered decorating it with a red ribbon or applying a blood splatter effect to the entire figure to hide them but I don't think I'd be satisfied with either of those fixes either. Wouldn't have minded nearly as much if something like this happened to some difficult to see part of the dress these stand out too much and don't even look like moles. They are charging the couriers for items entering the country so far, so if you get an invoice its more likely to be from DHL, if you don't pay then you would be banned from their system, not buyee's. Pretty sure they will just move to a pay before delivery kind of deal though.
