The thing that bothers me about Hanabi is that her existence breaks whatever logic the Hyuga clan is supposed to have.
So Hiashi and Hizashi were born as twins, but Hiashi was born first, so Hizashi became part of the branch family and got the cuck cage seal mark on his forehead. It was also shown that Neji got his own seal as a 4 year old. But if that's how it works, shouldn't Hanabi be part of the branch family as well, since she's 5 years younger than Hinata? Shouldn't she have already had the seal on her by the time Hiashi decided to make her the heir instead of Hinata? Or is the seal a male only thing? The cage bird seal seems to be something the Hyuga resorted to in the past because of succession issues and isn't their first resort, with the old dudes seeming to realize that Hinata isn't built for this and not dissuading Hanabi from training herself to challenge the position.
