It's the "weapon of choice" of countless animals. Even humans have a pretty strong bite force so unironically yes. Your jaw strength has a greater "grip" than your hands (unless you're Hanayama I guess).
On another note, Kozue, once threw a rock at Hanayama's head. It was a delayed reaction since Hanayama is always in "aura farming" mode but after he walked away he let out an "Ow that hurt" which is more of a reaction than most people, even Speck, can actually get out of him.

Why is Hanayama unconscious then?

In retrospect, this was a very fitting way for Jack to win. He specifically made a point of not caring how he looked as long as he won whereas Hanayama was more concerned with "making a good impression". Both characters got what they were looking for. Jack got his win despite getting humiliated in the process while Hanayama lost but maintained his pride.
