The Westward Wu's is the only faction that bothered to keep Wu Hei "Alive" in some sort of way while the Chinese Wu and Kure fucked off and did their Assassin thing in two other Countries
But the Westward Wu aren't the original Wu's, that would be the Chinese Wu's. The Westwards are just a faction of the Chinese Wu's who broke off during the war with the Worm's some thousand years ago and became subservient to the Connector, Shen. For some reason they were the only one's who bothered Huishenging their ancestor OR the Wu's were already doing that and the Wu who was "Wu Hei" at the time decided to become subservient to Shen even though Wu Hei was made out to be a giant psycho killer so it seems kind of out of character for a character that barely exists to play secondary to someone else
Anyway Sandro never bothers with the relationship between Wu Hei and Shen, two guys who exists via a schizo game of telephone because Sandro really doesn't care too much about the Wu Hei's. While Shen exists to give Ohma a "wall" to "scale" I guess, Wu Hei and those others guys only exists to give Raian fights where he JUST FUCKING WINS.
Also while being Shen's bitch for thousands of years the Westwards at some point started branching off and disconnecting from each other all while under Shen's rule and he never bothered to try and fix that. It took Eddie and Howard to go clean up that mess and now it's falling apart AGAIN all while under Shen's rule but it's not his problem because Eddie/Howard/Gilbert were just "his friends" but not close enough for Shen to consider their faction that works under him that is falling apart to be his problem and help them sort things out
So the Westwards are weird larpers pretending to be older than the Kure and Wu MAYBE and despite being under his rule Shen doesn't lift a finger to help them when they need it
There's more in-fighting with this one Faction than there was with the CEO's in Kengan Ashura
