Up through PriMagi, the series aired on terrestrial TV, so the censorship was excessive. Fortunately, starting with AiPri, it’s been broadcast on cable, so there hasn’t been that kind of censorship so far.

i think i have had just about every basic perspective of (including lewd) dreams you can have about a character in regards to sion, such as me being sion, being with sion, third person view of sion, dreaming about commissioning, etc, and then you add poyo into the mix, alternate universe, etc etc, then you add me cosplaying both as sion and having a paprika uniform for generic-ness, and all the different sion-ness has left me a very confused and a bit more than slightly crazy person. i have been very attached to characters this before and i do not think it was nearly this bad. i dream every night and sometimes when i nap, and i would say sion is involved maybe once a week or fortnight, and i don't really know what i'm typing anymore. i need to rewatch the anime often to ground myself back into the Real(yeah) Sion , completely lost track poyo

Himari is functionally illiterate, but like not even as a joke, in the show we have seen repeated examples for her struggling to read and write at even a basic level with the test scores to match (remember she had the one himitsu about being unable to answer even a single question on a writing test). Add on her much dunked-on repeated inability to retain information across episodes and her complete failure to comprehend very basic ideas that are broken down into the most simplistic analogies you can create and it's just like, man. I think you could support a genuine and serious argument that she's a depiction of a character with some degree of developmental disability.

Now, we've had a lot less time for Juria to display the depths of her retardation, and by no means am I suggesting that she's a paragon of intelligence or anything. But the bar that she has to surpass to be dumber than Himari is so ridiculously high that I don't think it's possible to feasibly meet it for a character.
