I do think all the fights after V3 are bad. This series set a high standard and I compare every fight scene. And nobody is watching RWBY for the fighting anymore. I think another issue with some post -V3 fights is that even if the fights are good there's usually some annoying circumstances around them. One of the best later fights is Qrow vs Clover vs Tyrian. Volume 9 was pretty decent because they pulled away from all of the gay and retarded shit that happened in volumes 4-8 and did an Alice in Wonderland filler arc where the studio was allowed to have some degree of fun and finally figured out that syncing the fight choreography with the music was the secret to v1-3's fun fights. Vol9 wasn't perfect but it is practically impossible for anyone in the world to bungle an Alice in Wonderland filler arc.

I think that had far more to do with Monty dying. Tons of things changed in the series overall after his death. The only thing that improved was consistency in the non-combat scenes (like if pay attention to V1 scenes of people sitting in the classrooms you'll start to notice that people change seating in nonsensical ways so that the camera can have them in frame in every shot regardless of the camera angle and position). Everything else either got downgraded or was subject to some form of enshitification. The combat scenes became more like camera on rails scenes where the camera flies through the scene and characters quickly do their thing while in camera view but then seemingly stop existing immediately afterwards.

I know people like to complain about this as a later Volume problem, but he's already like that when he confronts Blake in Volume 3. Then in 4 and 5 he actually doesn't even really care about her and is busier doing his own shit with the White Fang. It's only when that all gets ruined and he has nothing left (primarily thanks to Blake) that he really loses it and comes after her again in Volume 6. Cause at that point Blake, whether for revenge or whatever, is the only reason he has to do anything.

Despite what Ilia said, there's nothing to suggest Adam didn't have support in the White Fang after he fled at the end of volume 5. The members who got rid of Ghira in favor of Sienna and Adam are still there. He could have followed Blake and her team into Atlas and rallies disgruntles faunus, White Fang or otherwise. They were headed there anyways, and he would have known this by following her. But the the writers didn't want to deal with the white fang plot for another volume. Adam hyper-focusing on Blake afterwards was a clunky way to tie up a loose end.

Weiss's fighting style involves a lot of gravity and physics manipulation, bouncing and flipping and sticking herself and her enemy around the environment. She's also got spells, which can really be whatever the hell you want them to be when laying out a fight, and has a rapier, which is a really refined, elegant, and swift weapon.
And that's all really, really hard to choreograph, much more so than the other girls. They NEEDED Monty for Weiss; when he died, so did she. There's a reason she got pigeonholed into summoning.

Yes, it does. Current fanbase is so small that it's not good enough to sustain the IP since they are not the type who spend a dime. The series won't go anywhere if the company still insist on pandering the old audience. If Viz seriously wants to reach a new audience, then reboot is the only option. Reset the fanbase entirely, start the reboot project with manga (much cheaper and less risk), pick a nip mangaka to handle the series. This time focus on developing the girl characterization instead of side character like Jaune. Abandon anything post V3, then maybe if sells well, they can pitch for an anime adaptation.
