I started reading and caught up right after the Danmara arc ended. I personally didnt feel as "trapped" in that arc as some people in part because I wasnt in the week to week. I just went through it in one shot and enjoyed it for waht it was. But thats a arc that a lot of people were annoyed with (same with small momo).

It wasm't as bad as now because the anime didn't yet exist, so there was much less activity, but there still was. Once the anime arrived (especially S2) a lot of noise flood in, so good luck understanding what's genuine and what's screeching.
That's why while I have some skepticism myself about this arc, I also cannot take the doomposting too seriously: it may or may not reveal itself to be ridiculously wrong in insight, again.

Well I get it, but I also kinda don't wanna see it: the risk is it would be a very awkward scene. I would rather have Okarun tell Momo in private that there's nothing between him and Aira.
If instead he wanted to do it directly, it's hard to understand what would be the right move to do in this scenario. From a meta point of view, you'd almost expect Okarun will have to set "boundaries" or something. But then again technically speaking Aira is also a good friend of his who has been in life-or-death situations with him since almost the beginning, and she's been touchy-feely with him since their very first encounter (even though she was still faking it then), so she's started almost the same time as Momo.
To him maybe that is the "normal" way Aira interacts with him. Acting cold to a close friend doesn't seem like Okarun, and for this and other factors this is not as clear as the Vamola situation.
But yeah, now that it's causing some issues with Momo, maybe he will realize that this kind of situation is not ideal right now.

I actually don't mind amnesia as a concept but the way most amnesia storylines are handled is very repetitive.
If it was used in an unconventional way I'd find it appealing, but the setup so far is very typical. Except for Aira clinging onto Okarun becoming a real issue instead of a gag, that was good.

Would you have preferred if everyone else forgot about Momo due to the curse and that's why she ends up in CSGs hands?
Feels like Tatsu already had the means to get to his goal, but he chose amnesia instead for some reason. Seems like he has a plan, but that doesn't mean the plan is good.

I was expecting amnesia to happen regardless with the amount of build up there was.
Either Momo got her memories erased (which is what ended up happening), or it would have been a TOTAL PEACH SUFFERING arc where it gets revealed that everyone forgot about her except Okarun but once the curse reversed, everyone remembered but in exchange Okarun forgot.

Character wise Okarun forgetting would have been more delaying.
Momo forgetting and getting wrong assumptions about everything is something that actually drives character development for them: Ken needs to grow a spine and put down Aira already, and he needs to become more proactive in their relationship. Momo doesn't remember and she only has her feelings to guide her, so she should be more honest about them.
Okarun forgetting would have just been more "let's emotionally beat up the peach girl".

Which phone, the one that was destroyed on chapter 1/episode 1 and was never replaced? But I do agree that Momo has become an obvious void and I'm getting tired of her being debuffed for so long. Even when Okarun was missing his nuts there was never a countdown to his impending doom and he was still pretty capable of filling his role on the team (which, ironically, is something that he currently can't do nearly as well until he unlocks the oni club's powers) but with Momo we first had the possibility of her disappearing forever when she was tiny and now she can't do anything and whatever the fuck CSG will do with her that will likely be the main motivation of this arc, be it her becoming his "friend" as in temporarily joining the antagonist side or just inadvertently doing something for him that advances his plans but puts her into danger.
