Aira tries spreading the rumor that Momo is a slut directly to Ken. Ken, of course, doesn't believe her and becomes angry that someone would say that about her. Aira backpedals, but his faith in Momo just makes her want him more.

A neat detail is how the shadow on his face resembles his yokai form face lines.

My theory is he has a plan for Momo and Okarun to have some kind of 4th wall breaking background stories that allow themselves and/or their relationship to basically be the endgame strongest element of the story but he doesn't realize that you can also tell their story while developing other characters in tandem. I think we still only get like a fraction of series or oneshots that are published per month in Japan. And if you were looking at official releases its barely a drop in the bucket. I think this is why Dandadan is doing so well but also why it is now obvious the quality is dipping- it's one of the freshest series that has natural crossover appeal for the west with Shueisha willing to actively promote it.

I imagine for a lot of Japanese fans Dandadan probably isn't a huge deal because there's lot of stories doing what it does in some capacity or even doing what it does better
