Not quite as simple as that. HK achieved a lot of what they did because of blatant disregard for safety measures. Jackie Chan has mentioned on talk shows that when he first came to America and talked to the stunts coordinator, they kept telling him no on a lot of the stuff he wanted to do. Hell, despite all the jokes about chinese 'safety', the current mainland/ HK showbizz wouldn't allow a lot of the shit old HK production teams would do. That's why there's a certain level of realism in a lot of old HK films despite the often obvious flimsy props.

Also, Mainland is kinda phoning it in with CG, not unlike what Hollywood is doing with their 'just fix in post' mentality. Basically, there is a lack of new talent with the kind of vision that old HK cinema created out of sheer necessity. Hell, even some of the old big name HK directors have fallen off, skill wise. Like Tsu Hark. Look at his recent modern output. Very blatant CGs everywhere.

Thunderbolt Fantasy is lightning in a bottle; there's nothing quite like it. But it is a spin-off. Maybe what can fill the void in your soul is the "main-timeline" Pili puppet show.

Now, I need to make some observations. First off, there's very little sub material. If you don't know chinese, you are out of luck. War of the Dragon was the last one with sub, and we only have a few series from the late '90s and early 2000s. Maybe i willmachine translate the last five series, but I'm busy right now.

Second, Pili stuff is like a Mexican novel: each episode is 40-50 minutes long, and a season has 15-20 episodes. Each season is actually part of a major story arc that, combined with other seasons, tells a bigger story. For example, War of the Dragon (2019) is the first season of the latest arc. This arc has five other seasons running until 2024:

Pili Fantasy: War of Dragons (2019)
Pili Tianyue (2020)
Pili Bing Feng Jue (2021)
Pili Zhan Mo Ce (2022)
Pili Xuan Meng Ji (2023)
Pili Tian Ji (2024)

Third and last point: the characters in Pili shows always show up repeatedly. The sword saint who saves the day in the last movie of thunderbolt fantasy, that's THE PILI GUY. He appears in every single season since the late '90s or is at least mentioned. And there are other characters like that. When you start watching, you will see a lot of things and characters without any proper explanation or context. Just keep watching, and you will more or less understand who is who and what is happening. The pace is not like Thunderbolt Fantasy is a lot slower, but you can see where it came from.

You can find the sub stuff on nya, the other stuff you will need to search a bit(and learn chinese).

Also for The Sword of Life and Death. Season 2, 3 and Bewitching Melody of the West have BDMVs available on either Nyaa or AB, but for S1 and movie1 I haven't been able to find them.
The reason I want to keep them archived and available is because the BDs seem to be interlaced, so any encode made from them is going to be inherently a bit dodgy. In the future we may have better deinterlacing filters than now. The Centaurea-Raws releases for example apparently used frame interpolation (SVP, basically) instead of a proper deinterlacing filter.

Duck is overpowered by design (per Urobuchi), but it's not like violence is his first option, I think the series handles Duck well since he's not really motivated by simply stopping villains but to utterly humiliate them and take their pride.

S1 has him suffering fatigue from fighting hundreds of undead and falling off the large stone doll, S2 has him getting poisoned by Scorpion when she tricks him using illusions and later wounded by Scorpion wielding 7BD, and S3 has him being on the back foot against Gunha in the magical field and even getting pushed around by that demon in the Demon Realm. Not to mention in S4, incomplete Demon God Kguy manages to 1v3 Ryouga, Shou, and Duck until she gets backed into a corner and tries to do some magic with a scrying mirror which forces Duck to get serious.
