I said this before in the leaks thread but the problem with Modulo is that it's related to JJK. Having the main trio interact and expanding lore is the expected trope from Shounen. But that's the problem. Why didn't any of this exist for the OG manga? Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara are hardly a trio. Nobara was more or less forced to exist and made worse when she was deleted from the manga until the last few chapters. And don't get me started on how Megumi was treated.

For flashbacks. For how impactful are the disaster curses and Sukuna. They were never given any sort of detailed lore. For Gege to suddenly give two chapters worth of backstory to Cross and Maru makes you wonder why he didn't just do this for the OG manga.

Basically. It makes you wanna say "why didn't he do this with characters people actually like?" I've got nothing against the siblings. But they're a victim of fans just wanting to see the old characters again.

I feel like Megumi was doomed by his narrative setup. In the end, he was ready to sacrifice himself at any time and Mahoraga was always that answer. He knew it's strong enough to wipe out any enemy he found too strong for him to handle. It makes sense why he bums around with his own technique if he could just whip out Mahoraga even at the cost of his own life.

Oh and there's also Sukuna too. Gege was really serious on never letting go of that possession trope.

After Yuji convinced Megumi to stay alive. Megumi should have just used domain expansion (from inside sukuna) and have yuji fight sukuna with the 10 shadows.

He should have kept nobara in a coma state and bring her back post battle instead of waking up conveniently at the perfect rime.

My complaint is that Megumi continues to allow himself to be a victim of his own trauma, never going past that. Even if you get his writing, not making him get past that is such a shitty thing to do to one of your main characters
