Trying to draw parallels between OP and the real world for political commentary is futile. See how leftists are always gloating about One Piece being "totally political" because they project some half-baked understanding of liberal progress into it, mostly because of surface level anti-slavery but also the idea that the SHs are somehow "fighting imperialism". Then the last couple years of the manga happened and now OP's lore is essentially a jewish conspiracy theory with old big-nosed men in suits serving Literal Satan while their artificial society imposes itself upon the world. Are the SHs now fighting Israel then? No because One Piece's world is a hodgepodge of random stuff Oda deems fine to insert.
