In this scenario, Davy Jones would be a pirate after Joyboy's time (or started out as a pirate after Joyboy but lived in the same era as him) and he'd have tried to become the king of the world but fail in doing so. This means he wasn't the king of the ancient kingdom before the void century happened and it could explain the D in his name.
