I have to say I really enjoy how much Modulo isn't spoonfeeding readers about the plot intricacies and general politics for a shonen. If this is the case, Modulo will finally have worth as a sequel. An unfinished part of JJK is the issue of cursed spirits. It is what started the whole shebang with Geto. If CS can be tamed and eliminated as threats, the loose end with the disaster curses, Yuki, and Geto will be resolved.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Yes, the kalyans are monsters, like cursed spirits, but there is something special about the Lumel that keeps the kalyan from attacking them. They have some special feature, which probably has to do with the origins of their myth about kalyans giving them sorcery.
I kind of think the resolution of Modulo is not going to only be humans and Simurians reaching a peace, but through the Lumel, a kind of coexistence will be achieved with the cursed spirits as well.
This is a third path to the Geto/Tsukumo issue from v0. How to stop cursed spirit violence/killings. Geto wanted to murder all normies, stop cursed spirits from being born, and so save the lives of his brethren sorcerers. Tsukumo wanted to rid CE from humans, stop cursed spirits from being born. Both plans had the premise of "fuck cursed spirits, we need to stop them from being born".
I think the Lumel are gonna create a path where cursed spirits can live with humans. Its kind of a payoff to the Disaster Curse plot from JJK, too. Modulo is about coexistence, between aliens and humans AND cursed spirits.
