This is kind of a convoluted story so bear with me…. My ex gf went to college in Humboldt, CA where nobody will tell you this, but the cartels basically run the area through illegal grow operations. Those guys would prey on students and primarily female students to work culling and harvesting weed. Turns out they’d end up getting trafficked if not gang raped in the woods. She had a friend who was raped but luckily survived. Ex knew better since she was threatened by drug dealers that her dorm roommate owed money to.

Oddly enough Joe Rogan had an episode where he spoke to John Nores. A Fish & Wildlife game warden who was essentially in a secret war with cartels in Santa Clara, also in California. They didn’t mention anything about rapes in those grow operations though.

Also, pot is indeed legal in California. However, large unlicensed grow operations in the national forests are not where pesticides are affected locally flora and fauna and water is being diverted from the natural landscape? That is also a huge no no. Plus national parks are federal property, so those shitbirds are in serious trouble, add in the rapes and murders too.
