It has a fallout style ending for every character and route. Not only do you get your ending, your actions affect the endings of other characters. Multiple times throughout the story characters you introduce to each other continue to interact with each other and carry on their own storylines through the ending. The characters feel like they exist outside of the protagonist's immediate bubble.

No daily routines, no point-and-click bullshit, no sex combat; just pure story and choices. It respects your time as a player.

It's because it's written by someone who has actually been to college and experienced some form of what he writes about. The characters feel grounded and not caricatures, a lot of readers will probably go 'ah yeah i knew someone (or saw someone) like that before and that lines up with my experience' which is what makes writing so good in this medium.

The lore drop at the start is better then having it continuously drip fed to you throughout the game, like others do, which the dev manages to largely avoid outside of the big trauma thing that the MC is repressing and gives a reason for the player to not know. Once the story starts, you get much less forced interactions. The characters are well written and interesting, and they feel like real people who're capable of solving their own problems instead of the MC's magic dick being required to fix them, outside of maybe the little sister. I really enjoyed it, and there's enough girls around to have different archtypes that you should find one you like, and don't write anyone off just from how they behave in the beginning because it's pretty clear they've all got a hidden part to them.

You don't have to be a fuckboy for Riona bro, you can go the entire game and only fuck Riona if you want to, although getting some of her scenes does mean that you'll have to fuck Camila or Sarah at least once, and one of her scenes is with Quinn, so you'll have to fuck Quinn at least once as well. And it's not a no-relationship route, you can still have halfway relationships with some of the sidegirls. Lily, Nicole, Quinn (sort of), Jade (sort of), and Nora all have what I'd call relationships, or the start of relationships, even Riona has a "date" in ep10, and you can always fuck around with Sage for the first 8 episodes (Sage and Bella don't block the Others option, only Jill/Josy/Maya do). And being with Sage and Quinn for a while actually adds to the Riona story so it's not a bad thing. - Best strat for a Riona save imo is to make it a Riona/Camila/Lily(rolling, but no feelings) save while taking Sage and Quinn as far as you can depending on affinity, then drop Quinn whenever you feel like she deserves it, like ep11 maybe. That lands you w/ Devoted (4-6) or Experienced (7-9) on the sexual history tab, so you wouldn't be regarded as a manwhore or anything if that ever came into play, but honestly I don't think Riona would care if you fucked everyone or no one, and I can't imagine DPC punishing anyone for sexual history on Others, the only exception being Cinderella or whatever her real name is, assuming she becomes an option she's the only one who seems to care.
