>>33207190 (OP)When I was 17 I as so skinny the recruiter spent two weeks bringing me waffles and syrup for breakfast (and made me drink a cup of the syrup), a double whopper combo with large fries and a shake for lunch, and then after all that I was 0.2 pounds above minimum weight for my height to enlist in the Army WITH THE WAIVER.
I was 5'10" and the day I went for the physical I weight 130.2 pounds.
When I got to Basic I was back down to 128
After Basic when I put on my civilian clothes noting fit.
I got to training and my roommate was a gymrat and he essentially demanded I join him.
When I was 22 I had grown to 6'0" and weighed
225 and benched 250. I couldn't really bulk beyond that because I needed the flexibility to do my job and running was also a big deal for me.
The biggest change in my outlook was trusting myself and my body. When i was skeletor's scrawny kid brother I had no real strength and NO stamina and knew it. When i was running 4 miles a day, lifting every day, and so on. I could be confident that I could to the physical task, no matter what it was. i became much more active with hiking, camping, hunting, learned some carpentry, volunteered fro jump school, and so on because of that.
