I might have tinnitus
I’ve been hearing a hi-pitched buzzing in my left ear for 3 days now and I wasn’t even listening to music that loudly. Sleeping has become a nightmare. It’s very depressing. I try not to focus on it but it’s always here and it never stops.
How do I cope with the fact that it’ll last a lifetime and that I’ll never be able to know silence ever again?

You get used to it. Try not to pay much attention to to the ringing, and you will forget it's even there. Some times. Don't worry, you have a life time to practice.

wait make sure there isn't a massive wad of earwax in there causing it.

Your brain will filter it out eventually

I can’t believe it, used a product for earwaxes, removed a good chunk of it and I didn’t hear any whistling tonight. I still have the impression I hear the noise from time to time as I heard it 3 days on repeat but it should go away. I still have a sound of static but it’s less annoying than the whistling. Thank you so much anon!
