Start off small with like a 10min Duolingo session or something like that each day to build the habit of doing something. If you slowly get into the habit of getting a lot of things done in like 1-3 hours each day you become a machine eventually. Also break down large tasks into smaller steps, set realistic deadlines, minimize distractions, and reward yourself for progress. If you get them done early you feel like you have actual free time to relax for the day and things like consuming slop become enjoyable again without guilt.

set up minor goals. for example if it's writing then set up a goal of doing x-amount of writing. Either see what you can write in 5 minutes or see if you can write a paragraph.

if it's chores or something physical then it's the same thing. small goals before taking a break.

eventually you'll just start doing you small goals for longer.

arso you rack disciprine.

Contemplation preminates action in Christianity. Procrastination is a willful imposition of the soul reacting to the assaults of a material world impelling it to do what it freely wouldn't. Ignoring it and engaging in the tasks impeded by it is a rejection of Christ, a pharaseesical cope using religion as a pretense to justify external deeds which is not motivated not for love of or love by Christ, and will be met with his promise, "I never knew you, depart from me". Indeed, the interior motives of a soul are more important than perfunctory sacrements. Ticking some boxes in a ritualistic checklist or even being well read on theology is irrelevant. God would welcome the unaccomplished rag that missed church but had the best intentions over one where intent is not even a consideration. What you suggest is the antithesis of Christianity, and is not merely ineffective snake oil, but a noxious concoction that repudiates god and will invite his eternal wrath no matter how pious you judge yourself to be and anyone motivated by such a solution will not be following Jesus but the devil himself.

Caffeine or nicotine. I put in a 3mg zyn when I go on my morning walks. Lost 5lbs in the past month with no major change in diet.

Take whatever you are wasting time on and put it far away from you.
Take whatever you want to focus on and put it close to you and easy to access.
Try to convince yourself of the importance of what you want to do.
Write down your problem and then write down solutions and think about it.

Both of you are correct (sort of), but the answer lies in the need to address the underlying emotional problem at the root of the procrastination.

Just to fucking get started. I find that getting started is 90% of the battle. Also, avoid distractions like YouTube while working. Take deep rest like meditation when you must rest. Don't use YouTube or video games, that's the fastest way to lose momentum.

I personally like Caffine, but I have ADHD and need a stimulant to function.

Ginko baloba, zinc, a general multivitamin and eating lots of kale/swiss chard are things I've noticed help in the past too .

buy a kitchen timer. you will make yourself a slave to the kitchen timer. you will set it for 25 minutes and will not stop working until it goes off. then you will set it for a 5 minute break. repeat for the entire day.
