The problem with always mouthing off is that even if you're an unironic badass, you will eventually run into someone who does not give a fuck, whether it's someone with more power than you or a random paranoiac who happens to be carrying a holdout when you shove him in the chest. Or you beat someone up, and he comes back and shoots you in the back of the head.
