Does the existential dread ever end? It makes everything feel meaningless. It's been on and off all my life, Is there a way to fix it. I can't access therapy.

I've never experienced it; rather, I've experienced existential wonder. It just floors me that I'm looking out of this pair of eyes and the cosmos appears to radiate away in every direction, like I'm at the apex of a 4-dimensional cone. That does square with the axiom that the laws of physics are (whatever the technical term is) the same everywhere. Also, there's the question of beauty, and elegance. What's with the feeling of contemplating beautiful things and tearing up a bit. Hmm..

I forgot to mention that filling one's time, which is what I instinctively do, probably plays a part in the absence of dread. That is, if I dread anything it's the neglect of having done something important.

My man.
The to be or not to be soliloquoy was written 500 years ago. Even if you dont know it, you know "to be or not to be".
And if you dont know your Shakespeare, the tldr is: "life blows. Why dont we all just kill ourselves? Death is scary is the only reason."

Now why, anon, why do you suppose something like this survived and permeated pop culture for 500 years to the point you at minimum know those 6 words?

Because Timeless and its universally relatable. Existential dread is normal. But we're all here, you get to die eventually, just ignore that aching voice, it isnt doing anything for you, and live your life.
There is no greater waste of time than dreading something you cant really do anything about. Try to make something of this confusing helps Cape.

I'm not the job-suggester but the time-filler, which is similar. Get out and about, talk to people, pat some animals, be among some trees.
