How can I permanently stop alcohol? It's the cause of a bunch of other knock on effects like getting fat and having no money

For me, I got tired of being drunk and hungover all the time. Not really advice, because apart from my own experiences I can't say. I just began to dislike what I was doing to myself and how it made me feel everyday. Maybe try asking yourself why you drink

Meme answer lol.
Have you worked out YOUR unresolved traumas?
Take new drugs that will make you intolerant to the previous drugs is the solution!

did you know that alcohol is legally not allowed to enter your body without your consent?

Literally just don't have it in your home, stop going to bars, don't order it in restaurants, and don't take any if you're at a party. This isn't like being a drug addict where you are physically addicted to it, or you're trying to lose weight and are required to actively constrain your disordered eating 3 times a day.

Alcohol is literally a drug and he could literally be physically addicted to it. OP, look at all the options to figure out what might work best for you. Some go to AA, some use the Sinclair method, some just find a hobby. An addiction counselor might help. You probably don't drink enough that you'd die from withdrawal, but exercise caution anyway

this is a good video, goes into what alcohol does to your brain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocSPQp49DtQ

after watching it definitely feels like a jewish trick. its still hard not to drink though, its such a relief. its better to find a healthier way to suppress your brain like with meditation or something. most successful ex-drug addicts become obsessed with working out.
