Clean it, put some salve on it, and keep the wound shut. You make healing more difficult by keeping the wound exposed to external pathogens.

sanitize it. keep it clean. it's deep and the broken nerves in the skin near it are in pain. i think it will be fine. for legal reasons i am recommending you see a doctor tho.
