What's up guys, it's summer, but I don't have a car so I've been bored asf. I want to find a new hobby to pass the time, preferably something where I don't have to stare at a TV or computer screen for. I already play an instrument, I practice every day. I also read, but it gets boring after a while. Any suggestions /adv/?

Drawing is always good, any of the arts, really. I wrote poetry for a whole summer because I thought it made me a well-rounded person. Doing that can also be nice.

Hiking and cycling is good fun but don't expect to meet anyone. I've took up paragliding and joined a club made a few friends, depends on what you're into desu

Buy a 150cc scooter if you can afford $1,000 - $1200 (including insurance and registration). I had no car and used to just LDAR all day but I got one of these and now I just ride around all day exploring new cities. I got one secondhand for $700 and I get like 80MPG so gas is super cheap. Top speed for me is 60 so just about fast enough for highways, not interstates though. Recently I went on a 300 mile trip to the North Carolina beaches

Also, join a car share club, for ad hoc car use for special occasions such as a date. For moving, hire a man with a van. For mobility/commute, get an e-bike (the pedal-assist kind).

This, maybe lurk /n/ and wind up with a craigslist bike for $50-100. Garage sales can be good this time of year. Don't listen to the chodes who will tell you you need to spend an over the top amount to have fun. Cruising the countryside for hours is the absolute bomb if you live in a cool area

Also true unfortunately. I've had great times with old friends on adventures but I never get along with anyone I meet based on outdoor activities alone. Lots of hazing/tryharding/consumerism. But I also do it for the alone time

- Lawn mowers
- Bicycles
- Etc.

Learn to do something:
- HAM radio
- Make electronics projects
- Simple woodworking projects or whittleing
- Etc.
