1.Life is just hardwired to survive, physically & genetically, because the descendants of Lifeforms that developed mutations of associated with that behaviour are still around and those that didn't develop such mutations simply died out.
2.Perhaps, Survival is a 'religion' of sorts, a religion that Life deeply believes and acts out that belief through various behaviours that you're seeing today. Not really, women maintain close friendships in adulthood and many of these women still end up getting pump and dumped and having children. They then also get resources and sympathy points from the government and society for being single moms, whereas older single men get mocked.
