Have you ventured outside your country or even outside your region? When I visited Murrica it seemed like a world of its own wrapped up in itself.

>Nobody wants to get together anymore.
Not necessarily true. It just is hard to have meaningful irl relations with what we find online. Instead of organic systems that have existed as long as man has existed, online systems that we aren't suited for emerge.
>Nobody does anything without getting paid anymore.
Not true. When you were a kid, you just didn't notice how a lot of things are monetized. If you look for monetization, you will find it. I personally don't have that bias, so I only see it sometimes.
>Nobody wants to do anything anymore.
Maybe depressed 4chinners don't.
>videos that claim people used to be "happier"
This is a peak rose-tinted glasses attitude. There were a number of problems in the past that these videos don't go into. At any given time, there are people that have become less happy over time, but I really don't think phones have made people that much less happy.

Not sure if this is really asking for advice, so I can't really give advice.

People have begun to lose their hopes and forget their dreams, so the Nothing grows stronger.

Say hello to and show interest in EVERYONE you meet from now on. Be the change you want to see and stop waiting for friends to fall into your lap.

A depressive attitude can spread culturally . People shit on those who add color to life because they're envious
You have to learn to do a gear shift in your mind and be less reliant on certain people

He mentioned money and working jobs for other people and that is certain a part of the issue . The money/labor system is experiencing unbearable strain

Yeah, pretty much. (At least in the US, maybe some anons haven't experienced this yet). It feels a lot like things are falling apart, and nobody cares enough to fix them.
People are not "stakeholders", to use a modern word, anymore.

I am trying to do this, which feels strange. I'm like naturally in the bottom 0.5% of social interaction capabilities and extroversion, it's completely absurd for me to be leading any kind of "be the change" effort. But I guess that's what it takes. Things have to change, we cannot just watch this species decline.
