How do I use a drill? I want to stick a peace of wood under my desk as a power outlet holder but I've never drilled before, is it hard?

Get a handyman to do it for you.

1.Aim pointy part at wood.

you mean a power strip? if it has holes for mounting on the back, mark on the wall where the nails or screws that will hold the power strip, and put some nails or screws into the wall and mount it like that.

It's not hard at all, don't over think it. If you've used a screwdriver, you can use a drill. A drill is just a screwdriver gun. You can practice on a piece of scrap wood if you really want.

Use a Velcro/tape thing so you can remove it once you realize it wasn't a good idea.
