>be me
>start to work as an intern for this lawyer
>we have this guy who owns a place that prints every document we need
>he's a mild mannered sir (he looks like he's on his 60's 50's)
>he's very serviceable and kind
>he'always takes care of us first when there are other clients
>they always ask him for favours that are kind of abusive ( to work at lunch time, they borrow chairs and stuff from him, they make delayed payments)
>he never complains and always agrees
>one month goes by and my boss forgets to pay him
> He finally grows some balls and stops taking the abuse
>he tells my coworker he won't print for us until they pay
>my boss takes this as disrespect
>pays him and tells him she'll never print from him again
>we go to places near him to print our documents now and he sees us
I feel sorry for this guy , he was very nice to us and he made one mistake and now my boss won't forgive him. They were abusing his trust and he got done with it and made a mistake by refusing to print, because my boss was going to eventually pay, she just forgot. Was my boss in the right here? Will eventually turn out to be an asshole like these guys? My coworkers say I'm too young and dumb to understand why they do these things but I'm just confused because it seems to me like they just treated this guy like shit.

I won't read be me tsunami of green text blow-by-blow monolog that one is supposed to read all the way to the end to get at the advice request. Get to the point next time, we don't need your life story.

If you let people abuse you, they start taking it for granted and get asshurt when you eventually stand up for yourself. The solution to this is having clear boundaries from the beginning. Just take it as a lesson for life, anon. No, you don't have to turn into an asshole like them if you don't let yourself.

His only mistake was not standing up for himself from the start. Doing it late was the right thing to do regardless of the consequences. If you don't stand up for yourself, you will die a slow death anyway because your sense of self erodes into nothing and you end up hating yourself and becoming suicidal.

They did treat that guy like shit, and they will continue to treat people like shit until there's nobody left that will take their shit anymore, they will never learn their lesson and it will become their downfall, you should start looking for the next job if you're not co.fortable with this places business practices

I don't think that will happen though, they're well positioned. It's just crazy to me that they have the nerve to think this guy was the evil one for not printing once after all that shit he takes. Also how they do not take into consideration the guy is kind of old. Lawyers are fucking cunts and I'll be one someday. I just dont want to turn out like these assholes

Then take this as a lesson of what not to do in the future so you don't end up being an asshole. Really as you already have realised they'd be better off just keeping their go to guys for everything, saving time and effort on finding new people every time they throw a tantrum, but as I said before, they will never learn.
