Burned out, can't come back from depression
I had plans and dreams before I realized I was so powerless to change anything and it's all pointless anyway. I should have managed my expectations and been more self-centered, focusing on small wins and joys but I don't want to live in a bubble but I also don't want to live in a world that really sucks. Reality is morbid, everything is up to chance, there are no fixed values, no endgoal, just infinite chaos and suffering in endless time. Ack?

Vent about your specific situation to ChatGPT. Take its advice with a grain of salt. Consider confiding in IRL people you trust/following suggestions that resonate with you.

You are well aware of your situation. People like you tend to recover, just don't fix a recovery schedule. Since there is "no meaning" in life in general it's up to you to give one to your life.

I won't read this. Ditch the drama and get to the point next time.

I'm aware the situation is hopeless, that's what makes it so hard to get out of this pit. Life was solid when I believed in the objectivity of progress and good and evil. That disillusion is a permanent background now. "Stop overthinking, ignore things you can't control, focus on what brings you joy, cover the basics: socialize, sleep well, eat healthy, exercise." All good advice but people ponder. You can't just stay busy all the time with work or leisure, you need free time, you need to reflect on life, otherwise you're just living like an animal.

Small wins anon. Start with small wins and build up through volume, then scale. Finding people who appreciate the work is essential.

Do you really need a divine mandate? If you get blackpilled and stop caring it's a huge advantage. Imagine how hard it would be to play a video game if you treated the player character's life like your own. You'd be too slow and afraid to beat a single level, let alone the game. It's because you know losing a life in the game doesn't matter that you can play aggressively, take risks, test the boundaries of the game's rules, and ultimately win. It doesn't matter that nothing matters.

Everything you said is right what is wrong with this. What is so fundamentally depressing about life that sometimes you need free time. Some times you need a break where you do nothing and think about the past, present and future. Take breaks. Don’t become complacent. You got this.

What made you stop believing on good and evil as objective concepts? Did you lose your faith in God?
