My girlfriend gets mad whenever I critize anything she likes. Like for example she picks a movie we'd watch together and when she asks what I thought about it at the end and I respond truthfully, saying I didn't like it (and I always give a reason) she gets mad. She says I critize things she likes to put her down which is not true. I'm just honest. I'm sorry to say it but her taste in movies isn't the best and even worse is her taste in music. Idk what to do, should I just lie and pretend to like her shitty movies? Or should I continue to be honest even if it meant she would break up with me?

No, you shouldn't lie because most likely you'll forget what you lied about and she'll remember and it'll just cause more fight. You just have to be real with her and when she gets mad tell her "you aren't your taste in movies, I love you, I just don't like that movie"

Most of my relationships have been with girls where I already had a bunch in common with, but it was also enjoyable to be with girls where we didn't already know each other's favorite movies and music and whatever because it was all the same, it's fun to discover new things through a partner.
