depends in what context my nigga, lets say for example i meet a coworker that has a hugeeee online footprint social media accounts tied to his name etc, i only know him on a first name basis that was untill i check the break room and look at the schedule my nigga this letting me know his first and last name

do you pick up what im putting down nigga hello do you understand its really not that hard just do basic compartmentilzation lower your footprint shit like that whateverrr, best thing you can do is not hang in circles that make you paranoid of such thing and reduce your online prescence as much as possible and shit nigga you understand nigga so like basically you just uh fuckin i dont know like just whatever man

Go off internet. OR
Stay off social media, no social media accounts. Especially avoid making accounts on anything online. Careful what you post, it can all be pieced together and correlated. Beware of time zones, people can use these to narrow down where you live (don't post your time of day). This might be obvious, but NEVER post anything personal, not even your eye color or anything. You'd be surprised what people can extrapolate with comparatively little information.
Probably some things I'm forgetting as I've never doxxed anyone and I'm just going off things I've heard about being used to dox.

Some other things I just thought of: the time of day you post at could give your rough location away, image metadata might contain this as well but idk. People can also get data from compromised databases off the darkweb. Not a lot you can do about that except hope they don't choose you from the data. Images posted can narrow down your location as well. Spellings can narrow down your location (e.g. colour instead of color might mean British).

Also try not to piss people off, that gives them motivation and reason to dox you

A while back I was involved in a smaller, somewhat tight-knit online circle where a bit of personal info was shared. Nothing public-facing, and the people involved aren’t total strangers, so I don’t see much reason for concern.

In terms of risk, I’d say it’s negligible unless someone was already pretty familiar with me and actively trying to connect dots.

I’ve kept my activity in certain anonymous spaces compartmentalized — no overlaps, no shared mentions. Even people who know me offline wouldn’t be able to trace that side of things unless they were already suspicious and looking closely.

Always use aliases that have no meaningful connection to your personal life if you can't use guest status or anonymous status. Always use different aliases disconnected from each other, always sign up to things using emails that have no personal info used during sign up. Multiple email addresses for different things. Be mindful of what you post online, don't give any personal info out, don't mention your name your location or mention any location or event or happening that gives away your general location.

Chances are you've failed a few of these before everyone has. If you've been in the internet for 10+ years you've left footprints. And you've probably forgotten where you left those footprints from stuff you've stopped using. 99.9% chance you won't get doxxed unless >>33387479 you piss someone off and become a target.

What to do is create false footprints. Deliberately start putting out false location markers and false info in throwaway accounts. Use footprinting as a way to camouflage and throw off the trail. Then if you do get a stalker/doxxer on your ass they have a very hard time figuring shit out.

ive always used broad names where if you search them up something else comes up, like "starbucks", "chrome", "coke", etc.

keep a lower profile. dont share your full name, and if you do, just keep it to a linkedin. on social medias, only include your first name with a random user. no pictures of your face anywhere.

i recommend terminal programs like sherlock to find some stragling usernames youve got and just wipe them completely.

Segment email addresses with each purpose
>Personal email for private contacts
>Public email for businesses
>public official email for government affairs
>Private internet identity email
>Public internet email for purchases
>Throwaway internet email for mischief
All of these should be made with different SIM cards and phones you should maintain.

Unless you're a public figure or a criminal digital privacy doesn't matter. The average joe doesn't get doxxed unless his retarded enough to give his personal info away or browse very obviously shady places.

Just don't do stupid shit and you'll stay away from trouble.

Don't use your first name when making accounts, use different emails and passwords, don't participate in extremist online groups. And above all?

Be normal.
Anonymous No.33393218 [Report]
>>33387921
too add onto this, make sure your usernames/passwords are extremely different. I noticed that a lot of my emails have the same few numbers at the end. Also people can find out if you have an alternate account by trying to sign into yours ans seeing the recovery email.
