is it just projection?
Is a huge part of how women treat men based on them projecting narcissistic fantasies onto men's actions and intent?
I get the feeling I am treated like a creepy stalker who is obsessed with women when I as much as make a point to talk to them or remember some small detail about them to make small talk (how is your dog type stuff). I want to be clear here, I am not talking about women I am actually interested in, just ones I think it would be nice to be friends with.
I get treated like I am making a move that is unwanted... ok sure but I really would rather be friendly with the people I work with than pretend we are Stranges every day. I am maybe a little more friendly with girls than I am with guys but I feel that is normal social behavior.
Am I missing something or are women treating men more in line with whatever they project upon them than what the men are actually doing?

PS yes I think its mostly narcissistic female fantasies about the people being far more interested in them that women are projecting upon men in most cases.

Its true they are being narcissistic when this happens, but everyone is treating the people around them based on how they perceive them.
what the hell else are you supposed to treat based upon other than your own perception of them?

Checked.
Do you really think anything you do is "normal social behavior"

>Research consistently shows that men believe women are more sexually interested in them than women actually are (Levesque et al., 2006; Perrilloux et al., 2012; Treat et al., 2015).
>Interestingly, women also believe men are less sexually interested in them than men actually are (Levesque et al. 2006; Perrilloux et al., 2012).

Well that is interesting.... I just can't figure out why it feels like everything comes back to sexual attraction when all I am trying to do is get through my day.
