Why are women encouraged to give fake numbers to every guy who asks them out that they're not interested in? Are guys' feelings irrelevant when it comes to dating?

fucking obviously. Have you been living under a rock? We live in the females society in which women can do whatever the fuck they want, whenever they want, with no accountability. Simps enforce this rule.

Have you heard of this thing called "feminism"? How naive are you?

Men tend to react violent towards rejection more than women does so a simple "no" is out of the question. It's a safeguard procedure.

So a guy's feelings are irrelevant as long as the woman feels safe?

Calling them irrelevant is a strawman. It isn't unfair or illogical to prioritize physical safety over matters of the ego.

But I'm talking about women who use the fake number thing all the time, even on guys who are respectful and polite. Why are those guys' feelings not considered?

By that logic woman should never date because they could end up with an abusive partner. Dating involves risk. If your priority is to avoid risk at all cost, then you shouldn't be in the dating world.

Well yeah, most women understand this. There's a reason why they would rather stay single and safe.

That's another strawman. Are you only capable of bad faith arguments? Yes, there are some risks involved, and while it isn't possible with all of them, the most obvious ones should be avoided. Meet in a public place even if having to suggest this hurts the other person's feelings. Don't send money, don't go to a stranger's apartment if she's promising something too good to be true, etc.

My man.
>asked for your number very very frequently
>if you say no, they will very possibly have an autistic temper tantrum and shit their pants and yell and make a scene and embarrass themselves and you
>if you give your number, they will blow up your phone when you weren't interested to begin with, and if at any point you reject them, they will (see above tantrum)
>on rare occasion, they do get violent with you.

Deal with these circumstances of constantly being asked for your number by people you do not want to talk to, lets see how long before you give a fake #

>please sir, may I stab you in the throat? It will deeply offend me if you say no.

Guy, this isnt even a woman thing. This is common life advice. Yes other people's feelings dont matter when it comes to protecting yourself and your interests.

but men don't only ask for women's numbers in a context where they (the women) clearly want to find someone to date. men ask for contact info at any time in any context. at my college i see guys trying to pick girls up in the middle of class or while clearly busy walking around campus

All things involve risk. You gotta live your life.
So yeah, if a woman isnt interested in talking to you, and tou ask for her number, and both saying no AND giving her real number exposes her to danger, shes gonna give you a fake number.. they're doing exactly what youre expecting them to do in this very post you made. Mitigating risk.

People do in occasion have to take risk to be alive. Ill bet you get into cars, maybe even regularly. Its one of the top 10 most likely things to kill or disable you.

>even on guys who are respectful and polite.
That doesn't make them not a creep though. Any unwanted advance can be construed as "creepy".
And as far as the girl knows, they're only respectful and polite as far as they've shown so far. We've all seen the cases where a guy was perfectly nice until he heard "no" and then got weird or hostile quickly. Girls have to think about stuff like this.
Pretend you're living in some max security prison full of the most dangerous inmates. Everyone there is unpredictable, much bigger than you or could kill and rape you at a moment's notice. Sounds like fun right? I'm guessing you'd be on pretty high alert at all times right?
Guess what, that's the world women live in every day.
