>24 and about to graduate college
>Parents always insisted I never needed a job as long as I was going to college and living under their roofs
>Spend 1 year in CC
>Covid hits and spend two year in online school
>About to finish uni
>Realize I now have to explain a 7 year gap in resume that is broken up by a few months of fastfood service work

?
they really only care that you're not hiding a drinking/drug binge or prison time.

I got a pretty decent job (that was carried by really good tips) for someone that also had a 7 year gap since graduating high school, even worse than you since I had no post-secondary experience or anything at all

>traveling the wurld with da parents
>vacation with the parents while traveling
>helping people abroad
>nursing ye olde gramma/poppa (she dun bad feeling, after de convid vax, mhhkey?)

and finally the worst option, you yourself were ill/accident/in hospital/on therapy

im 27, got fired from my 1st apprenticeship, had to retake my a-levels like, 2 or 3 times. was in therapy 2 times and then i didnt feel like working, too for like 5 years maybe?

now i got a pretty decent gpa and i applied at uni this year, lets see if thats gonna work out for me. if not, im not gonna bother anymore with work and neet 4ever and focus on me i and myself.

So it's not even a 7 year gap then

Being in college is a pretty strong reason for not working, and the covid thing explains why it took you a bit longer to graduate.
It's nowhere near as bad as graduating college and THEN having a 7 year gap.

Tell them you were the caretaker for a sick parent. Look up some disease online. Cancer, dementia, whatever, something where they needed round-the-clock attention. Get a little teary to sell it. But don't get too teary. Act like talking about it is painful for you. You'll have to come up with a reason why you don't need to be their caretaker anymore. Don't go with death, death is a bad move, too easily disproved.

You were going to school, retard. You don't need a job, or you can just say you worked for the family business and make some shit up. I don't know why you faggots stress out about this so much.

Discuss projects and research you did at school, treat it as employment.
