I want to try some natural supplements like 5htp and St. John's Wort to remove my anxiety but I also tend to drink two, three times per week and I heard that combining them is bad. If I only take them four or five times per week (when I will not drink), will they still have any effect or do I need to take them literally everyday to have effect in time?

Alcohol usually doesn't affect it, but both are weak supplements that maybe work better together, but alone aren't that strong. And you have to take at least st.johns wort every day.

Alcohol increases anxiety period. Stop drinking so much. Sorry, anxiety and depression are more likely to occur when youre dopamine deficient. Guess which axis alcohol works on (its not seratonin, muscarine, or adrenaline)
