Figured this was the best place to ask instead of /fit/. So I went to have my DOT physical for a driving job and my blood pressure was way too high. Doc told me to come back after my BP was lower but I only have a couple weeks until I start this job.

How can I lower my blood pressure as quickly as possible?? I've already quit vaping cold turkey and limited myself to 1 cup of coffee per day. I'm pretty heavy for my height but I'm going to eat healthy for these next couple weeks.

I used to have elevated BP, then I stopped eating salt, and now I get all light-headed when I stand up too quickly. I also shed some weight, but I wasn't significantly overweight in the first place.

Cutting out salt will definitely help.

Perhaps it may be best to seek specialist advice. Blood pressure could be symptoms of a lot of sinister things.

There is also medicine available that will lower your blood pressure. Look for beta-blockers. Don't overdo the dose.
Maybe you can get them prescribed by your doc, since you really do have high blood pressure, right? What numbers are we talking here?

Hey anon. I'm a truck Driver with the same issue. I still vape and drink which I shouldn't but trying to quit. For me where I live, the doc gave me meds and handed in my physical to the government or whatever. They renewed my licence but I don't know if I'll be able to pass it again
In 5 years from now.

I dont have any advice because I need advice too. Just know you're not alone.
