i have a choice between
>truck driving class, costs 5k and takes 1 month. enables a variety of employment in the 22-24 dollar range hourly
>county road crew extra help position, 6 months of full time work that gets my foot into the county system, who are one of the major stable employers here. 18 hourly, and potential truck driving training if i acquired a full time position later down the line
>can't do both at once

In any case, Don't go to a truck driving school that gets you on a fucking company contract at graduation. That shit is a scam.
