That's probably the issue. You try too hard. People can sense the tension and repression, and its a bummer to be around. The solution is to stop trying, just do and say whatever. At least it's more honest to yourself. People admire that, even if being honest with yourself means being blunt or cold or irritable or weird, those who can't deal with it will avoid you, those who appreciate it will stick around. Better outcome than pretending and forcing and trying to please everyone. Because if you try to appease everyone you appeal to no one.
