I think I'm over it.

I just ragquit uninstalled dota 2 for the last fucken time. Total war games bore me, EU4 is just so tedious. I just can't do it anymore bros, I think I've finally hit that wall. Sinking half a day into some epic campaign just feels so empty. Being 'good' at a game gives me 0 satisfaction anymore. I downloaded Dawn of War 2 and to my surprise Last stand is still kicking and its was refreshing to be reminded of a time when games where just games, and not some convuluded secondary life simulator.

Maybe I'm finally growing up? Hell I'm 34. l I play my steam deck more and its usually just some roguelike flavor of the month bullshit (quite liking peggle atm). I am finding myself more drawn to games with a satisfying gameplay loop, not one I actually have to try in.

How are you handling your life defining hobby anons? I feel I need a big genre shift into something more casual. Any suggestions?

I do small-scale woodworking using only wood I harvest myself with few simple tools I've had for decades now. Not having to buy anything somehow keeps it pure and fresh

You need your enablers to either die on you or give you the big heave ho.

Sell the game system and all your games. Do something else that's more organic and allows you to be more creative. Or get a gf.
