Human behavior has similarities but is also very different from other animals, even our closest relative species. Women can usually get sex, yeah, but they don't want sex from poor quality males, they want high quality males and they want them to stick around and help them raise their young. They aren't competing for turds. Much like men don't compete for ugly fat old women, they compete for hot young women.

I wish women would fight over me, but that doesn't happen irl.
