First financial investment
Zoomer here who has just started working this year. In Europoor and have 10k saved up. What should I invest in? From what I've read my best long term bet for passive income is ETFs, or I could just save the money in gold.

What is most important is time and perseverance. Whatever you do, do it repeatedly and somewhat consistently. In my opinion, gold is better for oldfags but it is cheaper now than it will be later. Have more than one egg basket. Small, medium, large index or etf, BTC, gold, use profit to buy more stonks and to obtain real estate. Use rent to fund a business that interests you which helps save taxes and contributes to the local community. Make it a hobby to at least passively listen to financial shit, or subscribe to a magazine. Learn definitions by messing on investopedia. If you have your mind set, it is not difficult to leave the grid early and find meaning before you die. You do not need to read books to know they exist and why. Everyone has the general concept of compound interest but drag feet to get started. Get cracking.

1. Put 6 months living expenses (rent, food etc) in an insured bank account. This is your emergency fund.

2. Put 80% of the rest into ETFs or index-linked mutual funds (or whatever they're called where you are) and add to them regularly. This is your retirement fund.
3. Put the rest into something less solid, from crypto (bad idea) to individual stocks. At your age you can afford to risk losing some on the chance of bigger profits

Awful advice. Rates are way too high right now and you want the biggest down payment possible

Not OP
>crypto (bad idea)
Bitcoin is up almost a thousand percent in five years. I have a couple months in the bank but why not have BTC? You can always just cash it in. If it goes down, buy more. When the pile of dough gets too big, put some in a more stable place. Cash in on a bad idea.

Doesn't really matter where you put it, just remember to buy high sell low.

Crypto is a bubble that must eventually burst. Someday a lot of people are going to realize at the same time that they have paid money for something that quite literally does not exist. The most you can hope is that you will be lucky enough to get out before that happens

I don't think crypto is a bubble.
As long as governments keep printing money and cause inflation, there will be people who to hold an inflation proof asset like gold or Bitcoin.
Honestly with 10k the best thing you can do is invest in yourself.
Better education, consider a house, possibly try to emigrate to a county that pays more like us. Start small business.

Yeah but if you know that, you’re golden. It is the fastest way to get rich and it is not “crypto,” a popularity contest, or “stable coin” a robbery. It is “BTC,” Bitcoin. Most likely created by the CIA to juke the whole f’ing economy. My money is on our ruling pedo overlords. Just not too much money all at once. When Cash gets rugpulled, people with five bucks in BTC are not going to know what to do with themselves and their family will come crawling for loans. There’s not enough money to hold things up for very much longer.
