How do I do stuff and be productive when I have this issue?
Basically I am hardly productive because I am obsessing over fucking things up. Which results in me barely doing anything and when I do I am slow as fuck since I need to obsessively check and have 11 mental breakdowns about checking. People online say focus on things you can control but that doesn't help me since in my head obsessively rechecking is something therefore I should do since it is in my control .

Should I just only check stuff for mistakes like twice, be more careless and think hey already did check I should just deal with negative consequences if and when they happen?

Like idk how ppl can be so productive I literally can barely do shit

So let's say you only check something once or twice and move on. What are the negative consequences your mind is predicting will happen?

You should get checked for OCD btw.

Are you like this with everything? Constantly rechecking? Or is it with one particular subject

I second getting checked out for OCD. This reminds me of when I had a fear that I'd fail to absorb information while reading and that made me extremely anxious when I had to read anything.

You should do some deep introspection. What is the root of the over-rechecking? What happened to you that caused this? And what false beliefs do you have that substantiate rechecking everything? Or, from a different perspective: why do you lack self confidence? Why don't you believe your own eyes and go back to check again?
