Struggling to make ends meet every month.
Last year I was able to save up enough money to feel comfortable, now I"m rapidly losing my savings, prices keep going up every month, for example the deodorant I used for almost 3 years at a consistent price of 2.40 in the past year and now has ballooned up to 4.80

Items that used to be about 15 or 20 dollars total after taxes are now almost 40 dollars each time I go to the store and I know it's going to get worse as the month and years go by.

I'm just a factory worker making less than 20 dollars an hour and now texas aid has decided I no longer qualify for the financial assistence that helped my afford my medication it went from 0 dollars to 580 and that's with my job's insurance.

I'm terrified I feel like I won't be able to live at all if this keeps up.

I'm gonna try and get some sleep now but I really feel like my life is slipping through my fingers like water I'm 36 and it feels so over.

Something within my control I guess is how to calm down, when I'm pressured I tend to start going through doomsday scenarios and drive myself into depression, as a teen it got so bad I almost attempted to kill myself because my mom had died and I felt like I didn't want to live anymore in this world without her around, I never told anyone and the attempt was a failure so I never really got help for that, and I want to be clear, I AM NOT THAT FAR DOWN AGAIN It's just a really stressful time and with no path forward my mental state is deteriorating rapidly

Wage based jobs are going down the drain across the board

New paradigm is to start a business or risky investing and things such as this

>how to calm down,
I'm sorry about your mom, and I hope you can recover financially speaking.

This is my formula for how to calm down:

Got a problem?
If not, don't worry.
If yes, can you do something about it?
Yes? Don't worry, because you've got this.
No? Don't worry either, because you can't change anything.

There's literally nothing in this world that should take your peace. In less than 120 years, everybody on Earth is going to be dead, and most of us will be forgotten a few years after. I don't know if this can help you, but you should also not give a shit at anything.

About your financial situation, I don't know how I can help, especially because I don't know where you live or your abilities.

Inventory all your expenditures and decide whether you can do without, or substitute cheaper ones that are just as good in the ways that count. For example: cheap grades of ground beef instead of steak, make meals at home instead of fancy prepared meals, no takeaways, no fancy beverages, "store brands"/generics, sell your car and use transit or e-bike, move to a cheaper city (e.g., picrel) and so on.

Also, one meal a day - say, a four-hour feeding window - you end up eating less once you get used to it.

You might want to try voting Democrat. Trade tariffs are the reason prices are going up so fast right now.

One meal a day? I think I can do that, I've been living with 2 per day already so cutting down to one should be a bit easy

>>33502528
Been doing that, got screwed by both Dems and Republicans because both are owned by the wealthy, this tariff shit ended being the perfect excuse for corporations to price the living fuck out of us with no mercy just like it was for Covid, every year we hear about corporations making more profit than ever and that first started because they took advantage of a pandemic, and now they're taking advantage of pure unfiltered greed and corruption from a madman and now we have AI being thrown at us as much as possible to fire more people, depress wages, kill benefits and in their eyes hopefully start enforcing slave labor so they can make the number go up.

as far as politics go the problem runs way too deep to be fixed with voting for non insane people

OP was about economic survival and it quickly turned into Murrican political tardistry. One can only conclude that that's really what OP wanted to talk about.
