how do i control my anger
i've had anger issues since i was a little kid in school i was really bad and destructive i even got diagnosed with CD because of how out of control and misbehaving i was over the years my impulse control has gotten way better but still whenever i think i have my anger under control something small and completely not even worth it happens and i crashout real bad like today i literally punched a hole in my wall over a small misunderstanding i don't want to always be like this i really want to control my anger it makes me do things i regret afterwards but i've tried all my life every coping mechanism but nothing ever worked it does make me sort of feel like i'll always be like this with my anger, and before any of you say it i don't believe in therapy for myself so no im not going

Anger Management teaches you that even though rage seems to come on you instantly, there is always a build-up process and you can learn to abort it then.

To take a silly example, suppose you learned that just before you get mad your pinky twitches. You can learn to spot the twitch and back down before the explostion really starts.

A pinky twitch is silly but many people say everything goes silent or they see red or have trouble breathing - SOME early warning signifier

Sup OP. First off, you got my respect for asking for insight. Second, ignore the CD diagnosis. It's just a bullshit label. It's about as real as the constellation of Capricorn in the night sky so it's not actually real, bro. The stars are real yeah but the stargazer makes up the pattern Capricorn out his ass. Sames true for quacks who pointed out your behaviours and slapped the "CD" label on you.
If you ever end up caught by cops over some possible shenanigans, then they slap the ASPD/sociopathy label on you as well lol. Cuz that's what they do with CD cases, they think it evolves into Sociopathy or something.

Anyway to control your anger it's the same as controlling anything. You gotta actually grab the thing and use it to control it. That means you should allow yourself to get angry whenever you want. There's nothing wrong or bad or evil about anger. Anger is just an emotion. Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of shit, and they're probably people pleasing types, emotionally constipated people who do that toxic positivity shit where they think life should be 100% happiness always lol

The trick is using that anger and using it in a way that doesn't ruin your life or other people's life that's all. Channel the anger and use it. If you know physical destruction is the best way for you, then roll with it. Think of smart ways to do that that actually rewards you for it. Like construction work like demolition or lumberjack or anything where the job is to go break something or destroy something. Then life rewards you for it
